I wanted to write today about a more sober topic we have all witnessed recently. There is no question that there are a lot of foreclosures and distressed owners in Chico. As of September 1st, my associates and I started a foreclosure prevention division in Chico. We are the first division of this type in Chico. We focus on providing options and advice to those in default. Being a real estate broker, I have come to know all the options well and can objectively go through the benefits and limitations for those having trouble making their payments.

I am hoping that if you run across anyone that is in financial trouble, or is having difficulty making their payments, that you would send them my way. It is hard to hear of a family that has gone through foreclosure simply because they didn't know of any other option. Sometimes there are no other options, but I am here to help them determine that.

Many of the new legislation made it easier for those in trouble to get back on their feet or at least lessen the blow to their credit. Please keep me in mind as you talk with those in trouble.

This year I have sold nearly 30 homes and remain extremely active in property sales. Over the last few years my associates and I have helped over 100 owners prevent foreclosure by negotiating with their bank to accept less than what they owe. We have also helped countless other owners figure out their very best option.

In times like this, it is important to have a trustworthy resource, and that is exactly why we have setup this division.
