I found this joke on http://realestatejokes.nationalrealtorsdirectory.com/ and it made me laugh-but also sit back a minute and think; hey-there is some truth to this!

This country is great. It's the only place where you can borrow money for a down payment, get a 1st and 2nd mortgage and call yourself a homeowner.

...Although I must add as an end note, doing all three of these is getting harder and harder these days.
